APBrowns cornerback Joe Haden missed practice again on Friday, but the Browns aren’t ruling him out as a result of the oblique injury he suffered on Wednesday.
Haden hasn’t practiced either of the last two days, but coach Pat Shurmur said that Haden would travel with the team to Dallas. They’ll make a determination about his status after seeing how he is during warmups on Sunday.
“He’ll be a game-time decision,” Shurmur said, via Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal. “I think we listed it as an oblique strain. It’s something that can happen with a very harmless movement, and we’ll just see where he’s at. He feels better today, and on game day, we’ll decide if he can go.”
If Haden is unable to play, the Browns will be forced to go with Sheldon Brown, Buster Skrine and Trevin Wade at cornerback against a strong Cowboys passing attack. Even if Haden does play, he probably won’t be 100 percent when matched up with Miles Austin or Dez Bryant. Either way, Tony Romo is likely enjoying the prospect of a date with the Browns pass defense.
