Having such complete respect and admiration for the Colts is a new thing for me since I’m a Pats fan.
I like the way they’ve gone about their business since Irsay decided to change GMs. I have so much respect for Wayne, even moreso after he turned down a chance to play for my team to stay there and play for his longtime friend Pagano. That’s a pretty rare thing in the NFL.

I am pulling for Coach P to get well and wouldn’t mind seeing them make a playoff appearance…as long as they don’t beat my team along the way.

Anyone think that THIS Colts franchise would even shun a chance to go undefeated if they get that chance? Nope.

Wow. It’s not a gimmick. The guy gets a day pass from the hospital and he goes out to see the guys. What else would he do?

Spoken like a true grouchy New Englander.

I will tell you why teams celebrate win they beat the Pats even though they haven’t won “anything” as you put it since 2004.
Because like the Colts franchise, the Pats are a an elite winning team that is usually spoken of as favorites every year to do some damage. You have had some down years as have we but the future always looks bright for these 2 teams as opposed to say, Jackonville or Cleveland.
So cheer up and be grateful when teams show up to give you their best. It means something when you knock off a powerhouse. That is what I am hoping happens Sunday. Have a great weekend.

It isn’t about “getting extra motivation”….It’s about a sick coach, who has CANCER, probably climbing the walls at home, and wanting to see his team. And his team glad to see him. And the media is the one making this into a “win one for the Gipper” thing. Not Pagano, Arians, or Grigson. The team is surely excited to see their leader fighting and winning against cancer. There’s nothing wrong with that. If you have an issue with it, then you need to take a long look in the mirror.

As for “we’re playing the Patriots” guy, not sure where you are going with that comment…but the Colts players are preparing for the Pats like they would any other top NFL team. The Brady/Manning days are over and have been for two seasons now.

It’s a very heart warming story, but this whole “we’re playing the patriots and need extra motivation” story is getting really tired. I can’t be the only one tired of watching teams prepare and celebrate like it’s the super bowl every time they play and beat New England. They haven’t won anything since 2004… can we stop declaring the dynasty dead every time they lose?

What’s interesting about this whole saga is that the job that Bruce Arians has done as the interim coach has been overlooked. He’s been great and really deserves a head coaching opportunity for himself. But sadly, he probably won’t get that at his age.
