Incorrect. Hali launched himself and hit Ben’s shoulder and then hit Ben’s helmet. It was the launching part and the fact that the helmet is considered a “head-area” is what made it a penalty.

The fine was for hitting Leftwich in the helmet not for hitting Big Ben. Some of you people need to read the whole article.

Wow so the NFL doesn’t look at game film when handing out fines? A replay clearly showed Hali’s helmet hit him in the shoulder not in the head. He should appeal that.

Love the huge failure of the Chiefs this season and I take delight at the image of them doing a ridiculous celebration for a touchdown that wasn’t a touchdown. But why is Houston the one that’s fined? Isn’t he the one that scored the touchdown that wasn’t a touchdown? Shouldn’t the other players, the ones that didn’t score a touchdown that wasn’t a touchdown be the ones that are fined?

That was such an obvious call in real time that the Chiefs should complain. Whether or not it was a pass wasn’t even questionable. Had the officials done their job and blown the play dead, the celebration never would have occurred. It would have resulted in a 4th & 7 instead of a 1st & 10. IMO, the Chiefs have a legitimate gripe here.
And I’m a Steelers fan.
