APJeff Kaye, a longtime radio DJ and TV broadcaster who served as a narrator for NFL Films, has died of cancer at the age of 75.
A four-time Emmy winner for work on local news, Kaye’s work on Buffalo Bills broadcasts got him the NFL Films job in 1985, shortly after the death of the legendary “Voice of God” John Facenda. Kaye and Harry Kalas shared the primary narrating duties on NFL Films for several years.
Most football fans never knew Kaye’s name, but if you watched NFL Films in the 1980s and 1990s you know his voice, and will instantly recognize it in clips like this one:

Rest in Peace… Positive thoughts going out to your loved ones.
R.I.P his voice was so memorable , love watching those old clips when the game was played by men who were allowed to play the game …. Half of those huge plays would be illegal now …
rest in peace Jeff Kaye.
far too much death coming from NFL Films these days…RIP Mr. Kaye
Like so many other guys, I grew up listening to Jeff and never knew his name. His voice could make watching snow melt exciting, rest in peace and thank you, you were a big part of my childhood.
