My question is: How would Tom Brady or Drew Breeze operate under the same conditions Vick has operated for two years now?

Game after game of relentless pressure will kill your QB’s career- no matter who is taking snaps. Archie Manning and Danny White were two good (but never great QB’s) because their O-lines were historically terrible. They could never win close games and would always seem to throw a pick at the wrong time because of the pressure. Why do you think Archie refused to let Eli go to a San Diego, a notoriously cheap and ineffective franchise. Archie knew what is happening to Phillip Rivers now would happen to his son.

No Qb is immune to bad O-line play. They all will succumb to bad decisions and turners once they realize they not going to get protected 90% of the time. The best thing the Eagles can do is not play Nick Foles the rest of the year: only to save his career.

Precisely what I was thinking.

What was Reid supposed to do? Should he start sitting starters so they dont get hurt? For what? Are the Eagles going to make the playoffs and will need people healthy?

It isnt all on Reid. These players gave up weeks ago. They dont play the game with any heart.

Reid made the comment toungue in cheek. He was just giving Coach speak. That’s his trademark. I agree however, that his time here is probably over, especially since Foles didn’t offer as much hope today as I thought he would. Good luck Andy, where ever you land! It’s been a great ride.

Shady only had 15 carries. At that point the post season hopes were over, so basically every touch he has going forward is an injury risk, so you bench him for the rest of the season? Obviously not, so if you don’t bench him for meaningless games, then you don’t bench him for meaningless snaps when he hasn’t gotten touches that would make him happy in the stats dept.

tomdrec- can you please tell me how you compare a rookies first start to vicks entire career? Guys like you are blind with love for vick and i cant figure out why. vick is probably the most overrated player of his playing era. At least most people know Tebow cant play NFL football but you vick people, theres just no getting through to you. Hes the 28th ranked QB in football this year. 28. He has 10 FUMBLES. 10. Hows that even possible in a half season? Hes God awful and the fans would rather see what Foles can or cant be. Go hug your vick fathead. Or whatever it is that you do with it…

Die hard Redskins fan here. I feel terrible for this guy. As a human being he has gone through more this year than any of us could imagine. His head just isn’t in football right now, I think a year away would really help him. I pray he gets through all of this.

As a Skins fan I know our defense is horrible. We knocked the dog snot out of the rookie QB and their RB.

If we are getting that kind of pressure I feel sorry for anyone behind the center on that team. Foles got hit so much I started feeling bad for him.

If EVER a coach needed a year ( at least ) completely away from being a coach in The NFL, Mr. Reid is certainly the one. His answer reveals a disconnect not simply from the game, but possibly from what others would deem reality. Letting coach go ( SOON ) would be a merciful decision.
