That’s a horribly inaccurate comparison cause Leaf was out of the league in a few years and royally sucked, while Jay has thrown for over 125 TDs, over 20k yards and a 84.1 rating. Typical of a Cutler hater to forgot about doing actual research.

People still hating on Marshall are just disappointed that he has turned a corner in his life, and never imploded the way they hoped he would.

Newton = Rothliesberger? Seriously? I must have missed those thousand yard rushing seasons Ben had… Think you’re guilty of comparing people by what they look like too, Brandon, just because two guys are both 6’6 and 250 doesn’t mean they’re similar players, either.

Better yet, hopefully someday we can continue to attach words like “athletic” and “cerebral” and not have racial undertones manufactured to encourage subscriptions and comments.

But then again without manufactured controversy every publication would be like AARP magazine (a fine publication actually), and who would read that. I read it for the pictures.

Cutler is an injury prone turnover machine with lousy leadership skills. You won’t see him compared favorably to any elite QB’s – even by his own teammate.

I always thought Jay Cutler was “shuckin’ and jivin’” when questioned about his toughness. Marshall makes a really good point though, and we should work on it as a society

People can keep hating on this guy if they want, obviously he’s had a troubled past. But Brandon Marshall is an intelligent, thoughtful, nuanced person who is trying his best to be a good person. In my book, that elevates him above a lot of NFL players.

Can it be that Brandon Marshall has finally matured? Judging by his surprisingly insightful response to the Warren Sapp feud a few months ago, and now this answer. I would say that yes, maybe he has. He’s finally putting his talent together and become the receiver/person everyone hoped he would be.
