Lose Anderson and Fitz if you have to and grab the best FA QB available. Why wait three yrs to train a guy who another team already did?

EJ Manuel in the 2nd round. He’s a big QB, mobile, big arm… all his negatives are coachable.

Use that 1st rounder on defense, OL, or WR.

Barkley and Smith will be gone… Wilson is a reach and not worth it IMO.

I would want to be sure that Tyler Wilson’s success last year with Petrino coaching wasn’t just a product of the system.

Bills likely won’t be drafting a QB in the first round. They’ll draft someone of a position they need [such as LB] in the first round. They would then draft a QB in the second round that doesn’t have such bust potential like Matt Barkley does [such as Ryan Nassib].

Yes lets draft a QB and develop him. This way in 3 years we have Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert, Tim Tebow, Brandon Weeden, Sam Bradford, Dalton, Sanchez, or any other mediocore 1st round qb. WE NEED SKILL PLAYERS! None of these QBs are any better than Fitz yet these teams are going to build around them. We need to do the same. Alex Smith “WASNT THE GUY” for the 1st 8 years of his career now all of a sudden he is. Its because they brought in good coaching and defense!!

Here we go again! The offense is not the problem right now.. It’s coaching. I don’t think Fitz is a Superbowl QB.. But that doesn’t mean you draft a guy just to draft a guy. If you see a prospect in the 3rd or 4th who may be a good project that’s fine. But don’t reach!! The last time the Bills reached … We had to deal with JP Losman for 3 years. Oh yeah and here’s a tip Buddy.. Hire a head coach not an offensive coordinator !!

Oh, and just because there’s no Luck or RG3 in the draft doesn’t mean you don’t draft a QB you think has potential.

There’s plenty of guys in the NFL who were mediocre in college and great in the nfl. One of the Bills’ division rivals have gotten by pretty well with a 6th round draft choice at QB

Look. No offense to Fitzpatrick But if you have a chance to draft a franchise QB you take it.

In the case of the Colts you even purposefully lose games to make sure you get your franchise QB for the next 15 years.

Fitzpatrick might be good enough with the right supporting cast – but you don’t turn your back on an upgrade at ANY position, especially something as important as QB

That’s not really an excuse.
The Bills, if they truly believed in a QB prospect, had the option of trading up.
It’s not that hard to trade from #10 overall to #5 overall.

The Redskins were “too good” last year to be in position to draft an elite QB, so they traded up.

Don’t excuse your GMs for being afraid to pull the trigger on an elite QB prospect.

There’s a guy in-state for the Bills quietly moving up draft boards but still likely attainable in the third round… Ryan Nassib, or perhaps Zac Dysert could be an option

The bills have said this for years now. The problem is every year they hover around the mid tier. All the good QB’s are gone by then, or other teams draft QB’s higher than they should. I.e. blaine gabbert, Tim tebow and christian ponder.
