This guy is becoming more polarizing than Tim Tebow. The NFL\Media is marketing him way too much which will cause fans to hate him for no reason. Too much a good thing goes bad.

He's not Joe Montana. He's not Akili Smith.

Realistically. He's very impressive and he's done more with less than Andrew Luck so far. Luck has had some terrible games (pick 6's) in some losses and always has Reggie Wayne to throw to. RG3 has thrown a league low 3 int's all year and Santana Moss-who was 15 lbs from being cut and 4th on the depth chart.

Both are great, but Luck won't get the same hate because of low-key marketing, his underwhelming-vanilla personality, and dare i say his skin color (maybe not so much)?

I know my fellow Skins fans are outrageous with their silly comments about the greatness of RG3 but that's because we know our team is on the rise now that we have a qb to lead the squad after 20 years of futility.

Forgive our giddiness.

Griffin's play was mediocre, not great Sunday.

He was 14/15 for 200 yards.

Here is the story the stats don't tell.

- 49 yard touchdown pass - receiver had no one near him for 15 yards. Even a caveman could have completed this touchdown pass.

- 61 yard touchdown pass - Griffin UNDERTHREW the ball - receiver had to stop and to reach over DOUBLE COVERAGE. Play was on a mulligan series where the Redskins would have not lost anything. Great throw? No way. Amazing catch.

- 20 yard normal completion. Big whoop.

Take away those plays and the "amazing" Griffin has 11 throws for 70 some yards. That is not a great performance. That is mediocre. Griffin bailed repeatedly on passing plays instead of staying with them to open up - this is what he does - that is not a great quarterback. When he was actually under threat of being sacked, he was sacked. For such a runner, he is amazingly easy to sack.

Griffin didn't do squat - the Eagles gave this game away and even a mediocre QB backed into a win despite his rather unremarkable overall play. Even with his play, the Redskins were 50% in the red zone and only had 45% third down efficiency.

Griffin did not win this game for the Redskins nor did he lose the game. But his efforts did not build a case to support "he does it all" - there were 21 points at least left on the field when Griffin walked off. A great QB would have turned this into a 50 point plus game.

There's a lot of RGIII hyperbole going around right now.

But, one guy I guarantee doesn't think RGIII is the best QB in pro football, and that's RGIII himself. He's only concerned with winning the next ball game.

Personal stats and individual honors are the furthest thing from his mind right now. He's gonna smile and say all the right things at the presser, deflect credit for the win to his teammates, and then he's gonna start getting ready for Dallas.

And that's why, someday, he WILL be one of the best QBs who ever played the game.

Let the over-hyping begin. The RGIII saga has become "Michael Vick The Sequel." 14 completions, 200 yards passing, and two (of four)
incredibly lucky touchdown passes later and we will be bombarded once again with inflated claims of Griffith's greatness like many which have already appeared here. Stop--please!

LOL. If he were the best QB in football, you wouldn't be 4-6.

Start getting ready for a top 10 pick...oh wait...

Let's not put RG3 in the hall of fame just yet.
This same over-reaction happened last year with Cam Newton.
He is the QB for a 4-6 football team and isn't playing poorly.
Leave it at that and let him play his was into infamy.
You can't talk a 4-6 QB into greatness so don't even try.

Skins fan here, but one who will keep things in perspective a bit. First TD was a nine yard drive off of a Foles int. Second TD, WR was open by literally 25 yards on a blown coverage. The third TD was essentially an up-for-grabs heave into double coverage that any competent NFL safety (i.e. not Kurt Coleman) would have picked off.

RGIII had a good game but the final numbers flattered him. Some good plays, but also some good fortune and terrible defending.
