Even though Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said quarterback Blaine Gabbert would be questionable this week, Mularkey’s not waiting around to make a decision.
The Jaguars coach just announced that Chad Henne would start this week against the Titans, after an impressive relief role in yesterday’s near-miss against the Texans, via Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Henne took over after Gabbert left with an elbow injury, and threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns.
Gabbert has started every game this year, but in four appearances, Henne has a 96.4 passer rating to Gabbert’s 77.4.
“I don’t think we change the offense,” Mularkey said.
Well, they did yesterday. Because they were able to pass, which wasn’t the case when Gabbert was under center.
