Like someone else said… Crosby is the best bet. Who else are the Packers going to get? The kickers that arent with teams are out of work for a reason… They miss FGs.

Crosby needs to learn to relax a little bit. Sure, your livelyhood is on the line every time you step out there, but failing to relax and make kicks will put you out of work faster than anything.

And that’s it, right there. Not that I am one to really want a Packer to improve his play, but Crosby doesn’t believe in himself right now. You can see it in his body language, on the sidelines and on the field. He just needs to relax and trust himself again, and quit trying so hard. As soon as he starts hitting again, he will be fine. The worst thing for him right now is to think that his job is on the line with every kick.

I’m as big a Packer fan as you can be, but there is no way Mason is a best kicker in the NFL – before this year started he wasn’t even in the top 5. The guy has yet to make a clutch kick(50+ yarder with the game on the line). He can boot from 60 yards if they are up by 2 TDs but gets the “yips” anytime his points matter.

Great to see Greg Jennings horsing around with him on the sidelines late in the game trying to get him to unclench a little bit. Jennings is such a quality act, always doing whatever he can to help the team. I sure hope the Pack can find a way to re-sign him.

Cutting Crosby will clear up some cap space.

I know it’s not as simple as that, seeing as how the game is played. But if it came down to needing a FG to win the game and you could place the ball anywhere on the field, then they should definitely try to keep it away from the right side of the field.

Thats why he did it? I thought his fondest desire was to have play a couple extra seasons.

What better way for a kicker who isn’t known for leg strength, to extend his career, than make a move from Lambeau to a a dome?
