i thought leftwich looked a lot thinner than he has in the past. i honestly think he has some left in he tank when he’s healthy. its a tough situation to beat the ravens considering he hasnt started in 2-3 seasons. i was not unhappy with lefwich last night.

The Steelers can get John Skelton for cheap from the AZ Cardinals. Skelton has been partially trained in the Steelers old offensive system by their old offensive coordinator Whisenhut how has given up on Skelton being his instant savior to cover his years of neglect of the offensive line personnel and scouting and drafting of offensive linemen.

Skeltong is big with a big arm, but has never been properly trained and worked with by the Cards. But he can be had for cheap right now.

Is it too late to bring back Randle El and Hines Ward? At least they can catch balls thrown to them even if Ward is slow as hell. Plus Randle El can function as the third QB. Even last year, when Ward was not at his best, he was finding comfortable open spots on 3rd downs and made some big catches early in the season before he was phased out .

But OK, that’s not gonna happen. So in all seriousness , why was Jerrod Johnson not signed last week itself? He was decent in preseason, knows the system, and he would have given TOmlin the buffer neded to put Batch in the game in case both Batch and lefty got injured in the same game which is not improbable, let alone impossible.

Didn’t the Steelers sign Troy Smith in the offseason for a while? He might be able to get them by running the offense. Plus it would make for a very interesting side-story in the match-up in two weeks against the Ravens, who he played for.
