With the return of center Scott Wells from injured reserve, the St. Louis Rams waived fullback Brit Miller Tuesday to open a spot for Wells on the 53-man roster.

Wells has been on injured reserve with a designation to return since suffering a fractured left foot in the Rams’ season opener. Wells returned to practice on Nov. 8 before being activated on Tuesday.

Miller was in his third season with the Rams after spending his rookie campaign with the San Francisco 49ers. Miller appeared in 30 games for the Rams serving primarily as a lead-blocker and on special teams. Miller has five carries for 14 yards, three catches for 41 yards and compiled 16 tackles in the last three years.
