Tobin picked three starters in Backus, Raiola, and Shaun Rogers.

Thereafter, Millen fired Tobin because he realized if Tobin was picking the players, he wouldn’t have anything to do. Of course, we know how that turned out.

Millen is worst General Manager in the history of professional sports at any level.

It’s both correct and unfair.

He’s been a consistent, if pedestrian LT for 12 years. He hasn’t been the reason the franchise has been so bad but, unlike Joe Thomas in Cleveland, his talent doesn’t scream, “I’m not the problem”.

Nice career Backus, but if the Lions ever reach a Super Bowl, you can’t (and won’t) be on the field.
