Also...while you can't know who will get injured...we should get better at drafting players without a history of injury. Jerry likes the gamble...

Payouts always go the casino's way Jer.

I know you are...what, 71 years old now?

...but you cannot rush team building...

Hate to see Carter out; he's proven he's a stud. This team has injuries like all NFL teams, the Cowboys can't hide behind them.

Jason Garrett has run this offense for six years. Very few teams can attest to that level of consistency. If you're good you get HC jobs; if you suck you're fired. As I see it, Garrett has not improved each year as an OC or HC. The team has had competitive talent, and he has done nothing with it.

Garrett spent his career with a clipboard. He sees the game as a business problem to solve instead of a goal to win by any means. Winning requires an attitude that focuses not as much on a need of winning but an absolute fear and loathing of losing. Garrett just doesn't seem to hate losing; he wants to focus on process. This approach isn't working either; the mental mistakes of this team just keep happening. To collect wins in the NFL, a team must eliminate the little mistakes that kill wins. Garrett has not shown any improvement in his staff or team.

Jerry needs to fire Garrett and the entire staff. Wade Wilson has not helped Romo. Our receivers are poorly coached. On and on.

@ ialwayswantedtobeabanker...

You have a right to you're opinion, as I do mine. Keep in mind that this time last year Murray was also inured an unable to help the Cowboys push for a playoff spot. Carter was just beginning to play after being unavailable for the first two thirds of the season.

Undoubtedly, these players are all athletically gifted, but how can any player help a team when they are consistently out of action due to injury? Time will tell if these decisions were wise. Considering they were made by Jerry Jones, whose entire 2009 draft consisting of 12 picks is now off the team, I seriously doubt it....

Let's not forget that on any scheduled day of games, if 16 teams win, 16 teams have to lose. Can we all stop pretending that the Cowboys somehow are ordained to ignore that law of averages? The Cowboys are lucky to have been just average in most aspects of the game. They don't DESERVE winning records any more than the Browns. Just thank the football gods for the SB rings you have received already and get on with it. Oh yes, BTW, get over that America's Team self endorsement shtick while you are at it. The team from the nation's capitol with the Native American symbol is the only individual football organization, if any, that logically should be America's Team.

You know if this team didn't have those stupid little stars on their helmets they'd be just another bad team that no one talked about except to mock them.

They're 5-6 and haven't beaten a single team of significance since week one. Were it not for back to back wins against two of the worst teams in the NFL (Eagles and Browns) they'd be 3-8 and completely out of it.

This team flat out STINKS. The inexplicable love they get from the national media makes me want to puke. They haven't won a single meaningful game in the last SIXTEEN SEASONS and yet everyone still acts like they're perennial contenders.

Boo hoo. Five starters potentially lost versus lost. Orakpo, Carriker, Merriweather, (Tanard Jackson*), Jammal Brown, Fred Davis, Roy Helu.

Giants lost at least twice as many last year and all they managed to do was win the Super Bowl. Don't talk to me about injuries...

Well, lets see. Jerry Jones, you’ve gotten great “value picks” in the draft the past few years with talented players that no other teams would touch due to injury histories. How’s that working out for you???? Sean Lee…. injured reserve. Bruce Carter… done for season. Demarco Murray…out for 6th consecutive game. Dallas Cowboys = stupidist run NFL organization ever

---

I disagree with your take.

I'm by no means a Cowboy fan and there are a number of things to be bummed about if you are one - but it seems ludicrous to consider the selections of Sean Lee, Demarco Murray and Bruce Carter as emblematic of the "stupidest (sic) run NFL organization ever."

Murray was showing some sweet game. Carter was playing very well until an injury totally unrelated to his UNC injury. And Lee is EXCEPTIONALLY effective at so many aspects of the game, including rapidly diagnosing opponent schemes.

Thing is, injuries happen. Anthony Munoz had a history of injuries at USC, but the Bengals drafted him and he was legendary in every facet of the game, including durability.

There is a lot to be frustrated about in Dallas, but I think you're conflating a few disappointing results with the unjustifiable placement of blameworthiness.

Well I'm no expert, but Jason Garrett has been to my eyes remind u I'm no expert out coached every game his game management is horrible. He tells Romo run to line of scrimmage to do a QB sneak when the refs already gave them a 1st down. Wow!!! When it's a ? Play if replay could over turn it they wait so the other team can challenge the play instead of getting to line of scrimmage to run a play. Or his defensive coach has to tell him throw the dang challenge flag. Remind U I'm no expert. U can't run the ball, & u consistently go jumbo on 3& short & get nothing. Remind U we who call for that little league coach to be replaced are no experts. I could go on & on but we are no experts & it would probably be lost on U the expert. As far as Kubiak he hasn't won crap & will be one & done. Cause his D-Coordinator is actually Kaptain Kangaroo in disguise. But we experts do know as long as Jerra Jones & family are the so called experts running the team the cowboys will be the same old cowboys. Sorry.

Well, lets see. Jerry Jones, you've gotten great "value picks" in the draft the past few years with talented players that no other teams would touch due to injury histories. How's that working out for you???? Sean Lee.... injured reserve. Bruce Carter... done for season. Demarco Murray...out for 6th consecutive game. Dallas Cowboys = stupidist run NFL organization ever

The team is lost for the season so who cares?
i can honestly say that I think Romo has had his run. I like a lot of people kept thinking this guy is good, he just needs a chance, he will prove himself and in the end, I think he really is just a so so QB from a mediocre college football program.
I give up. His mechanics are lousy, judgement is lousy, play calling and adjusting to defenses is lousy.

Dallas will be in need of a new QB and coaching staff next year. Ryan doesn't know defense.
