It seems pretty simple to me that the League is saying to the players, “Do not hit another player in the head”. This goes triple for QB’s and WR’s.

Luck is a mush mouth who has been handed at least two wins. RGIII is the rookie of the year, and like Jimmy Johnson stated a candidate for MVP!!! Luck is just a red headed step child. Arians should show Luck RGIII game tape and try to get him to play to that level!!!

Please, you can subtract the Nick Perry hit from that tally. On that play:

- The Colts left the OLB unblocked
- Luck somehow didn’t see him coming even though it wasn’t from the blind side.
- Luck wasn’t hit in the head.

Perry was fined for “leading with the crown of his helmet”. Fine, but if he didn’t do that and “saw what he was hitting” his facemask would have hit Luck’s facemask and he would have gotten a flag.

And 20K isn’t bad considering Brad Jones got 15K for just grazing Stafford’s head with his hand after trying to block a pass.

What has gone un-noticed here is that the Colts, and Arians gets the blame for this, left Luck in that game against New England when it was way out of hand and the defense did not have to respect the run. They could go straight after a clearly frustrated Andy Luck. There was nothing to be gained by this, and he was clearly and unnecessarily exposed to injury in a game that had already been decided. This is WAY more egregious than leaving in an experienced starter to control the tempo of the game for his team until the clock runs out.

What is going to be done about THIS?

Most media members are simply too lazy to look past the tired old story lines of teams running up the score blah blah blah, hoping for increases in hit count from ignorant fans, to see where the real issues are. Arians should be dressed down for leaving Luck in that game. He could have been badly injured.

Luck plays like a traditional pocket QB (Manning and Brady) who makes quick throws.

Luck plays like a “mobile” QB who keeps plays alive with his legs but leaves himself vulnerable to hard hits.

If Luck wants to play like Ben Roethlisberger, he has to realize he’s going to take hits like Big Ben – and risk getting injured, like Big Ben.

et when RGIII gets a cheapshot, the league turns a blindeye. Kudos RGIII, you keep getting wins and big time moments and the rest of the league will have no choice but to respect you and the Redskins. RGIII = Clear Rookie of the year and best QB since John Elway in the NFL.

Not only does this guy get this statement wrong ( Luck gets the same if not more preferential treatment from the refs than guys like Manning/Brady/Brees) but he also gets his whole analogy wrong. Veteran baseball pitchers have LARGER strike zones than rooks. At least that’s what it should be in the context of the comparison that this writer is trying to propose

This kid is getting far better treatment than say Brees/Brady/Manning. Heck a couple of them were ticky tack at best.

His personality is that of the goofy kid brother RGIII seems more put together even though Luck clearly is intelligent and can play the game he appears disheveled and a hot mess during press conferences and when he has a bad play his coach coddles him so I think the league thinks of him more childlike than they do RGIII or any of the other QB’s

So then players are all just playing lip service to the emphasis by the league to greater safety with their fingers crossed behind their backs. If they were to think about it maybe they would realize for the betterment of all their careers we need the rookies to do more than survive. They need to thrive. Fans will enraged if the game loses the likes of Luck or RG3. Players of their caliber are rarely born.
