I’m a Raven fan. Not a homer about Wilson. Seattle gave up nothing for Wilson, D.C. had to give up a ton for Griffen. For Seattle to land a player like Wilson in the third and NOT have to give up 5 years of future draft picks for him is amazing. That’s why Seattle is a better franchise than Washington.

He’s got the best job in the league. He’s making 6 times what the guy ahead of him is making while taking 100% less hits than him. He’ll never have to work again bc of a couple of good games.

Guy is a straight baller and can pick apart any defense either with his legs or his arm (which is surprisingly strong). Seattle got one of the biggest steals of the decade with Russell Wilson.

All you people saying he should have no regrets because of the money he makes are the same ones who would bash a player for thinking of himself and the money he makes. You can’t have it both ways.Obviously, none of you ever played competitive sports, where every player wants to play. If you’re in it for the money – OK, but the minute someone says “I don’t care about playing or winning, I get paid anyway”, you’ll be all over him.

Flynn can be happy that he parlayed his few successful snaps into a great payday, but I’m sure he won’t like being Matt Cassell 2.0. He’s just not that good. He will always be holding a clipboard.

He gets paid millions to play in practices so why let not starting bother him,no big deal.when his contract run out and he become a FA he can go to another team that needs a starter,Rodgers sat for years behind Favre before starting and never got paid near what Flynn is getting but he learned a whole lot about quarterbacking in the NFL just by practice games.Flynn will one day become a starter so why should he fret.

Are you saying Ireland trading Marshall who was having a All Pro year before his QB went for late picks? This forum was filled with Fin fans calling for Ireland to be fired and after this Sunday that may be the case again. Flynn didn’t move the chains in pre-season and Wilson is an athletic with a work ethic unlike any other. Flynn could start on probably half the rosters in the NFL. His contract is not excessive by any means, look at the details. He’s been a real pro while being in Seattle as well. Go Hawks!

He got beat out for the starting job by a third rounder that was “too short to play in the NFL.” That doesn’t make the offer look lowball. It makes it sound just about right for an unproven backup QB that will come in and compete for the job.

He shouldn’t have a single regret about being paid a ton of loot to ride the pine.

I am a fins fan but Ireland’s decisions are looking better every day.. No giving in to Flynn , not drafting dez, not giving in to Orton trade or even signing Ryan Clark ( reshad jones has looked like a beast this year). Is there still work to be done? Absolutely!! But we have cap room and a bunch if picks next year..

I would love to sit on the bench and make the ton 0 money this guy is making and hey, he’s not even getting beat up out there. Pretty nice.
Flynn will be trade bait for sure and end up somewhere that wants him with pockets full of money.
The thing is, many years of talent are now waisted and the game is too short to make it up.
All he can do is hope to play, the hall won’t be calling his name.

I think Flynn would have shined if Carroll would have given him a chance. Wilson sounds like a great kid, and I can see Pete falling in love with him.. but I still think that team would be better with Flynn. I hope he gets a chance to be a starter somewhere.

Trade him and his fat contract to Jax. Make Henne compete. For Mularkey to give him the moniker of starter “next year” is depressing. Flynn can play. Russell Wilson just is a fantastic QB who fits what they want to do better.

What else can Flynn say? Of course he’s going to say he has no regrets. But he messed up by not taking the Dolphins QB job. If he did, he’d be in the hunt for a wildcard berth in the weak AFC.

Flynn can play lights out in a west coast type of offense. And it just wasn’t the Lions game that he looked good in. He looked good carving the Patriots up in New England in the 2010 season.

Well yeah I would not have any regrets getting paid millions to sit on the bench as well. If what was reported is true, the Seahawks offered him more money. There is no guarantee Miami would have drafted Tanneyhill. There is also no guarantee Flynn would have gotten hurt. But I will say this, it is easier to swallow being Aaron Rodgers backup to one of Ryan Tanneyhill or Russell Wilson. No money in the world can change that.

He signed where the money was. Playing and the chance to win games were secondary. He had minimal experience and turned a fluke performance or two into a multi-million dollar contract for very little work. Why would he have any regrets?
