Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew is almost certain to miss another game this Sunday, the fifth that he’s missed since hurting his foot in Week Seven.

Things aren’t looking so good for Week 13 either. Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that Jones-Drew said in radio interviews that he will be out for “a few weeks” as a result of the injury before saying that he couldn’t say much more because of Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey’s rules regarding talking about injuries.

“It’s frustrating not to be out there with your teammates,” Jones-Drew said. “But it’s part of the game you have to deal with sometimes. It’s the first time dealing with it, but I’m doing everything I can on my side to get back and be ready to go.”

Jones-Drew said last week that he hoped to only be out for a couple more weeks, which makes the change in timeline this week a bit alarming for the Jags’ hopes of having MJD back in the lineup. There aren’t too many weeks left to play and Jones-Drew could lose a battle with the calendar in terms of getting back to 100 percent in time to return to the team this season.
