Let me remind you Steeler hating Baaltimorons that your Ravens didnt exactly look great against an injury ddepleted Steeler team last week. Not to mention, Ray Rice has yet to gain 100yds rushing this year. The other Ray is most likely headed toward applying for his AARP card, and Bubba Gump Suggs doesnt look like his old self either. As for the Browns game, I havent played QB since high school 13yrs ago. The Steelers could start me tomorrow, and still beat the Browns. We dont need Mendenhall to have a big day. We need Dwyer to keep pounding the ball, and the D to force Weeden into bad decisions. That happens, its a win for sure. You Ravens fans should make tshirts that say, “In the Unibrow we Trust”

If Hoyer gets some action, you may end up pleased with the results.
He’d still be with the Pats if Mallet hadn’t fallen to the 3rd round, which Belichick thought was too good to pass up. The guy can play.

Hoyer was probably the best backup Brady ever had (including Cassel). There were preseason games when you couldn’t tell Brady was out. I’m surprised it took him this long to find a team. He’ll probably never see the field, but I think he’d make a better starter than half the guys playing today.

If that’s the case, Steelers should keep this guy and drop Byron Leftwich. Nothing against the Leftwich as he performs fairly well, but he seemingly gets hurt almost as frequently as Roethlisberger despite getting a fraction of the snaps. What use is backup who can’t stay healthy.

If Dwyer wants to be truly what the Steelers need, he has to quit waving to the sidelines to come out after every 2 or 3 carries. To me, that was a big reason why the Steelers lost to the Ravens. He kept pulling himself out. Anyone who has the game on DVR, go back and watch it and you will see. Where is this guy’s stamina? In his prime, bettis used to carry the ball 8, 10, 12 straight plays and not come out.

Don’t have to name any. Number one, Leftwich shouldn’t be 2nd string on any NFL team, but to be backup to a guy that’s elusive, and moves around, you’re going to have basically a statue back there, with the wind up throwing motion he has? So Leftwich should not even be on the team.

Batch? He’s better than Leftwich, so why is he third string to the statue? It doesn’t make any sense at all. They should have had Batch, because he can still play, and he is great for what he knows, and GOOD backup, which they now possibly have. But what use is he just joining the team?

It doesn’t make sense at all. Total team mismanagement.

Yes, it’s kind of hard to figure how a professional team could be so unprepared QB depth, especially with the pressure Roethlisberger has been under his entire career.

Hand the 1st string duties over to Dwyer and don’t look back. He’s a true Steelers running back and is just what this team needs – bruising, powerful, young fresh legs. None of this “go with the hot guy” crap, either. Make Dwyer your workhorse.

Then cut ties with Mendenhall after this season. He’s always been overrated compared to his actual production on the field.

If the Stillers ever neeeded Mendenhall to step up, it’s this weekend. He needs a 25 carry game with big yardage. Hope he’s healthy. Last week the Ravens swallowed him up and they can’t stop anyone. Unsure if that’s because they stepped up their run D or if Mendy really isn’t able to bounce off that ankle.
