Several players on the Colts have shaved their heads in support of head coach Chuck Pagano, who is undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia. Now a Colts cheerleader is getting in on the act.
The cheerleader, whom the Colts have identified only as Megan M., announced on November 11 that she was raising money for leukemia research, and she said that if fans donated a total of at least $10,000 by the Colts’ November 25 game, she would shave her head. As it turned out, fans have already donated $22,670. So during the third quarter on Sunday against the Bills, the Colts’ mascot, Blue, will shave Megan’s head. (And perhaps yell, “She’s bald!“)
The Colts have now raised more than $250,000 for leukemia research through donations and sales of CHUCKSTRONG shirts and wristbands.

thats awesome. she will be gorgeous either way
Very classy (first time im saying this not sarcastically)
This is a really neat thing all these people are doing for leukemia patients. My father is a survivor of leukemia so I know what they are going through.
That’s awesome! It’s great the Colts organization is raising awareness and money for leukemia (especially since the NFL believes breast cancer is the only disease worthy of spotlighting). The players have obviously been inspired by their head coach’s battle, and have come together to support him. Shaving their heads was a nice symbolic gesture. But a WOMAN shaving her head is an even bigger deal. I hope Chuck makes a full recovery.
Brave girl. Very respectable thing she’s doing.
Now that’s a great person that is easy to cheer for her dedication to the cure of leukemia!! Way to go Ms. M!
Good for her.
She will be a double for Hines Ward but every penny is worth it…
Way to go Megan!!
Bald is beautiful baby.
Megan will still be as beautiful bald as she is now
Great for her convictions to support a cause
What’s most impressive is that fans have donated more money for the research than the trust fund baby did after the hurricane.
This is very heart warming good job sweetheart
Megan deserves a ton of praise, not a lot of women would do what she is about to do. Regardless, hair or no hair, she is as beautiful as they come. Maybe Megan’s venture will spark some life into others to do the same. Great job Megan!
That’s so awesome I wana marry this woman
Love all the recent Seinfeld references lately.
I’d like to see Megan’s story on all the front pages of the magazines instead of the Kardashian’s latest broken nail update.
It’ll grow back. Nice of her to do it. She won’t miss it for long.

I can only assume that by “trust fund baby” you mean John Mara.
He donated $500,00 to the Hurricane Sandy relief approximately 3 weeks ago. Last I checked, that’s twice as much as:
“The Colts have now raised more than $250,000 for leukemia research through donations and sales of CHUCKSTRONG shirts and wristbands.”
Additionally, the fans supports was $22,670. (read the story)
Both charities are noble causes, and the efforts on behalf of Colts fans, the Colts organization, and John Mara (and ANYONE who donated to hurricane relief) should be applauded, NOT held up for ridicule by the likes of you, “rickastleydancemoves”. What did YOU donate?
Fantastic. I love to read stories like this. Thanks PFT.
she can also donate the hair (if its shaved properly) to Locks of Love which provides wigs of real human hair for women/girls going through cancer treatment. Very nice gesture Megan. Bravo.
Good for her, that’s a very classy gesture. Wonder if she could take it one step further and donate her hair to Locks for Love or some similar group that makes wigs for children who have a need.
I’d pay to keep her hair the way it is.
Looking at her picture I wouldn’t think there is no way possible that she could be anymore attractive than she is now and a act of kindness changes proves me wrong.
coachglove – Great thing to point out. If I were her, however, I would donate it to somewhere other than Locks of Love. Been told they don’t give their wigs away for free, which is pretty low if you ask me.
When women shave their hair it makes them look younger. Heheheh…
I love The Colts!! Such a classy organization, this club is going to do some amazing things in the future..
People “not liking” this should grow up
As a woman, I shaved my head after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.. This is a beautiful thing this woman is doing. All the power to her!
i’ve put 3 things on here and they wont print any of them
totally selfless act..this babe is more beautiful inside than out..
I can’t give her enough likes. She’s a sweetheart.
Sh ewanted $10,000 doanted first? If she was really into this she would do it without asking for donations!
Too cool
Wonderful gesture in support of Coach Pagano… too bad guys like @thegreatgabbert aka babyhorsesassmorgan treat it as joke material.
