Jay Cutler cleared to return from concussion, will start vs. Vikings

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is back.

Cutler, who suffered a concussion two weeks ago in the Bears’ loss to the Texans and missed Monday’s loss to the 49ers, has been cleared to return and will start on Sunday against the Vikings, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS.

The Bears listed Cutler as questionable on this week’s injury report and said his availability would come down to the diagnosis of an independent neurologist who would examine him on Saturday. Apparently that independent neurologist found Cutler to be symptom-free and good to go.

Over the last two seasons, the Bears have been one of the best teams in the NFC when Cutler is healthy and one of the worst teams in the NFC when Cutler can’t go. Having Cutler back against an NFC North rival will be a big plus for the Bears as they compete for a playoff spot.

  1. I hope he is demanding hazardous pay after watching that MNF game from the sidelines. Cutler may not be the savior but I’ve seen some really ugly Bear football without him. Run the ball, protect the quarterback and pin ’em deep after NOT turning it over and Da Bears win by 10.

Adrian Peterson is a freak of nature.

“So there won’t be any excuses for this week’s loss.”

Sure there will…This week’s Vikings loss will be blamed on Percy Harvin’s absence.

  3. The Bears don’t have a bad offensive line. They just can’t stand Jay Cutler.

Denver is looking pretty good right about now isn’t you little brat?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“The Bears don’t have a bad offensive line. They just can’t stand Jay Cutler.”

Uh-huh…That’s why they held JJ Watt without a sack with Cutler starting, and let Jason Campbell get buried 7 times vs. SF.

  5. Sounds like Denverdude needs to come back down and let oxygen get back in his brain.

Cutler hasn’t been in Denver for years, get over it. You guys seem like the real children. “Jay doesn’t like us, let’s call him names!”

  6. Chicago can win out from here. a 13-3 season will save Lovie an give the Bears a first round bye. somebody is coming to Chicago for a playoff game this season an the Bears will be the Hottest team in football at the time

  7. The NFL should market this game “the dink and dumb game”. Vikes refuse to pass more than 20yds down field and the Bears have Mike Tice as an OC…

  8. If he was out the rest of the season they’d lose all their games, get Lovie fired, and get a better draft pick….

You forgot about the packers, The Packers own the Bears. And Cutler Fears them

  10. I really only read the comments to see how absurd Vikings and packers fans are, and then seeing mature, articulate bears fans bringing them back to earth

    Well done boys.

  11. It all comes down to which Bears team shows up. Sure, the offensive line is horrendous, but the run defense has been horrible for two weeks as well. AP is the best in the business. If the Bears can’t stop him they don’t stand a chance.

  12. It was apparent during the SF game that the Bears players looked defeated early on. They know that when Cutlers in there they always have a chance to win. They seem to play harder for him. They are going to tear the Vikings apart this week with Jay back. Plus, the “new” O-line cant be any worse than what they have been using. Probably just jinxed them with that comment.

Obviously you haven’t read posts by chi01town or tucostacos. Both of them are supreme idiots. Even if I tried, I couldn’t act as stupid as they really are.

  14. Cutler, will show some rust the Vikes must keep him that way! And they need to stop Forte, which is exactly what the Vikes need to do to make Da Bears one dimensonal!!
