After Thursday’s overtime loss to the Texans, which included Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh applying a foot to the groin of Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, Suh exited the Lions locker room without facing reporters.
In two days since then, Suh has been silent on the subject.
He hasn’t been entirely silent, however. Earlier today, he hosted an #AskSuh session on Twitter. He got plenty of questions about the maneuver, but he answered none of them.
Suh has not addressed the subject in any way. No interviews, no statements, no emails, no anything in reference to the newest American Thanksgiving tradition -- the illegal use of a foot during a game of pro football.
On one hand, anything he says will result in criticism. On the other hand, there’s really nothing he can say. Especially in light of the pathetic excuse he offered last year when he clearly had stomped on the arm of Packers lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith.
Still, it’s an issue that he can’t ignore forever. Or maybe he can. A recent attempt to book him for Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network was met with a request to submit in advance the list of questions that would be asked.
So maybe he just won’t answer the questions he doesn’t want to answer.
