Antonio Brown won’t play, opening door for Plaxico

Steelers receiver Antonio Brown returned to practice after missing two games with a sprained ankle this week.  But he won’t be returning to game action just yet.

Per a league source, Brown will not play on Sunday against the Browns.

Brown practiced all week on a limited basis, and he made the trip to Cleveland.  Coupled with the fact that receiver Jerricho Cotchery already has been scratched, the Steelers are down to four healthy receivers:  Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Plaxico Burress, and David Gilreath.

For Burress, it’s his first game back with the Steelers since leaving the franchise as a free agent in 2005.  And he could make an immediate impact.

Memo to Steelers: play for the 5th/6th seed and shoot for optimal health entering the tournament. As with Ben and other banged up Steelers – do NOT rush them back where they hit the field with an exaggerated susceptibility to re-injury/aggravation issues.

Burress is gonna score. They’re gonna attack the Browns in the air today. I don’t blame the Browns fans for talking smack, they need something to look forward to. Steelers win easier than most of you think. 26-12 final.

The Steelers need to take time to get healthy, play hard and weather the storm. Pittsburgh will be in the hunt and a healthy #7 and #43 are important to their success. Hopefully Plax is grown up now and man’s up!

Browns still have to face the steelers D, which held the mighty ravens to 3 points that were unaided by special teams or by wallaces fumble.

    16-10 STEELERS

ravenator : steelers win today; ravens lose; it’s about getting in the playoffs, not regular season, giants 9-7 last year. but be proud of your one superbowl, it’s the only one ravens will ever have in the trophy case!

As long as he doesn’t spike the football before the whistle, I’m happy to see him play.

I have to go #2, time to take the browns to the Super BOWL! Only one they’ll ever make it too!

THe stillers could have calvin johnson, larry fitzgerald, jerry rice on the roster, with batch a QB. it wont matter. THe browns have a healthy D-line, and will have a sack party with pitts porous O line. Look for good luck Charlie being knocked oout of the game in first half. Hopefully they have Kordell Stewart on speed dial. Weeden throws for 320 2 td’s T RIch 130 yds 2 tds + Browns win 31 -17

The Browns are Cleveland’s Pirates, Browns fans need to pick a new team.
