With a 22-point lead in the first half, the Bears don’t need receiver Devin Hester. And that’s a good thing, because they won’t have him.
Hester has been scratched for the balance of the game with a concussion.
The question becomes whether he’ll be cleared for next week’s visit from Seattle, and if not whether he’ll be available for the Week 14 trip to Minnesota.
In Hester’s absence, Eric Weems has been getting additional snaps. If Hester can’t get clearance to play next week, the Bears could need more bodies; Alshon Jeffery already is out with a knee injury.
