Most players slapped with doubtful designations on the Friday injury report wind up missing games on Sunday, but there are always a few exceptions each season.

Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola is one of this year’s exceptions. Amendola missed practice all this week and wore a walking boot around the Rams facility to protect the foot he injured in last week’s loss to the Jets. He traveled with the team to Arizona, though, and his pregame workout proved to be enough to convince the Rams to put him in the lineup.

That’s good news for quarterback Sam Bradford, who has made frequent use of Amendola whenever he’s been healthy over the last few seasons. How effective he’ll be able to be given his injury remains to be seen, but his presence should be helpful to the team even if he isn’t able to play at full speed on Sunday.

The Rams are trying to win their first game since beating the Cardinals at home in Week Five of the season. That was Arizona’s first loss of the year, one that they’ve followed with five more just like it. They are trying to avoid becoming the first team to start 4-0 and then lose seven straight.
