People, it is now.
Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that Brown is done for the season. Citing an unnamed source, Vrentas reports that further testing has revealed that Brown won’t be able to play again this season.
It means that David Wilson will get a bigger role, with Ahmad Bradshaw still serving as the starter.
UPDATE 3:52 p.m. ET: Coach Tom Coughlin said Monday that Brown will be given the designation to return, which would allow him to play in the Super Bowl.

Rough career for this guy. Just when he was getting his shot. But somehow I don’t see him giving up and coming back stronger next year.
I seriously feel bad for him. Brown showed a lot of heart not giving up on his NFL dream given his circumstances and being cut an infinite amount of times.
NFL is a tough business. Good luck to him.

I think he was referring to his TEAM, not his own misfortune. Way to kick a man when he’s down though.
Although I feel awful for Brown, I am very excited about seeing David Wilson get a bigger share of the load. Been waiting all year to see him get 10-12 carries in a non-blowout situation. The kid has got some serious speed and talent.
Mara thinks its unfair Brown got hurt and the entire nfl should lose cap space and be grateful they didn’t lose draft picks.
