Its always funny reading these comments. The difference between those that actually watch the games and those that see a highlight show and look at statistics is glaring.

I wish the latter would just admit they’re mostly ignorant about what happened in the game they’re talking about, or the player they’re talking about.

WE, the people that actually watch, know the truth.

By that point in the game, it’s called time management. Bears didn’t need to run up the score, they needed to keep it out Ponder’s hands. That’s what they did. Chicago controlled that entire game.

The scary part of the 2nd half was they were only sending out 2 receivers at a time some times and the Vikings still had a tough time stopping them.

Chicago will get most of them back.
Tilman, Briggs, and Forte will play NEXT WEEK against Seattle. The two that worry me is Hester and Louis.

I think most people realize Cutler is a good quarterback, but he is clearly not elite. At this point I would still rather have both Mannings, Brady, Rogers, Brees, Luck, Griffin, and probably a couple of others before Cutler. Cutler belongs in the Schaub, Flacco, Romo class among NFL QBs.

Schaub, Flacco, and Romo are all playoff quarterbacks. I’m fine with Cutler being in that category. I don’t think anyone in their right mind ever said Cutler was an elite QB.

I think people underestimate the value he brings to this team. They’re too busy complaining about his pouting. He can pout all he wants…as long as he wins.

Congrats to the Bears on a solid victory. It was particularly painful to watch a QB/WR combo that completed passes in coverage without a bunch of drops. If the Vikes can get a WR that can actually catch a ball (other than Harvin) maybe we can make a game of it next time we visit Soldier Field.

I would be truly interested in how the Mannings, Brady, etc…would do with the past and present Bears offense, changing O-coaches, etc…
It’s entirely possible their careers would be over due to injury.

It doesn’t matter what quarterback they replaced, Cutler’s backups would stink it up for any team. They may not be 1-8 on, say, the Patriots, but they wouldn’t be any better than 3-5. This doesn’t prove that Cutler is good. It proves that Hanie, Campbell and the like suck. I think most people realize Cutler is a good quarterback, but he is clearly not elite. Hopefully, Tillman, Briggs and Forte miss one or less games. Oline guys are likely out longer. When they said “Hester has a concussion” early in yesterday’s game, my first thought was “How can you tell??!”
