Miles Austin expects to practice on Wednesday

The Cowboys lost linebacker Bruce Carter for the season with the elbow injury he suffered on Thanksgiving, but it doesn’t sound like wide receiver Miles Austin’s hip injury will be quite so serious.

Austin, who left the game in the first quarter, said Monday that he expects to be able to do something in practice on Wednesday. Austin said the hip is “getting there” after three days of rest since the loss to the Redskins. His return from the hip injury is complicated by the fact that he’s been bothered by a nagging hamstring issue all year.

“No one wants to be out there more than Miles,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I wouldn’t say ‘frustrated’ is a good word at all. That’s part of it. I know he’s going to battle to get back as soon as possible. That’s part of the game we play. It’s a tough game.”

Austin has caught 49 passes for 727 yards and four touchdowns on the season, so he hasn’t been slowed down all that much by the hamstring. The Cowboys offense would be slowed down if he isn’t able to play against the Eagles in Week 13, however, and it is hardly the time of year for the Cowboys to be adding obstacles to their chances of making it to the postseason.

Don’t mess with the Washington Redskins or your injury list will get longer.

He has no time to get thru his routes because the o line is so bad romo has to get rid of it before anything downfield can open up.

“That’s part of the game WE play”. Um I’ve never seen U or ur daddy go out their & PLAY. But I have seen U & UR daddy make bonehead after bonehead mistakes with ur comments, drafts, & trading draft picks for washed up WR not once but twice. Is that the game U & UR daddy play? Please do all us cowboy fans a favor & sell the team. Or learn from Daniel Snyder & get real football people to run UR pathetic franchise. I cannot believe I just said learn something from a Redskin. The world has gone mad.
