The AFC East is rather average besides the Patriots. Imagine where they’d be if they hadn’t missed that FG against Arizona, or tanked either of the games against Baltimore or Seattle. Oy! Those were stinkers! Especially the Seahawks game. Uuuuu-gleeee.

They’ll have to win out for any hope of a week off during the playoffs.

Well, well it looks like the Broncos and the Falcons are in luck this week. Peyton should be able to rack up 400 t0 500 yards on the Bucs weak secondary. Unless Freeman can match TDs with Manning this week the Falcons and the Broncos should be a cinch to clinch! The good news is I will be rooting for the Falcons thursday night!

This year that is true. However, not always the case over the past few years. The Jets or Miami have been very good at times. As for the AFC North (seeing that you are a Steelers fan), in the Brady era (including 2008) the Patriots are 58-16 (78%) in the division and 19-7 (73%) against the AFC North including playoffs. The Steelers and Ravens have only won 5 of 16 against them. They haven’t faired much better then the AFC East over the years.

Hey its not the Pats fault the other teams in the division are poorly run.

What do you want them to do, hand back interceptions or recovered fumbles to the other teams in their division to make it more equal ?

Or maybe the Pats kick returners should have to turn around and run backwards towards the other team’s goal line after receiving a kick ?

I love how the Patriots have no competition, but the Broncos do?

Regarding that mighty AFC North, Tom Brady is like 14-4 combined against the Ravens and Steelers and 3-1 in the playoffs. You know which team in that division that gives the Patriots the most trouble? THE BROWNS, LOL!

With the Jaguars and Titans? I don’t think so. And maybe the fact that the Colts will be making the playoffs is just a reflection of how bad the AFC is as a whole. Outside of the Broncos and Patriots in the West and East, respectively, those divisions are horrific.

Jags are terrible and the titans aren’t very good either. The Colts are up and coming but I wouldn’t expect them to do much in the playoffs.

I agree. The Patriots are good really good but the other teams in the division have refused to catch up to them.

Last year the Jets were 8-5 at this time and the division wasn’t decided until mid-December but this year no team besides the Patriots is even at .500.

This season has been terrible. The Referee’s have been very biased, which has impacted the score to many games this season. Not that the substitute refs were any better, but the regular referee’s are supposed to be better at their jobs than what they have given this season. One or two bad calls can change the way the game ends. Several games this season have gone the opposite way they were headed before the bad calls. Way too many defensive pass interference calls have been made, along with extremely bad ball spots. The NFL needs to fix this.
