The Redskins have to make a decision today on right tackle Jammal Brown, and it appears that decisions will be to place him on injured reserve.
He missed yet another practice Monday because of ongoing hip problems, which preseason surgery apparently didn’t fix, or didn’t fix soon enough. He was cleared to practice two weeks ago, but had a setback on Nov. 15 and hasn’t practice since.
“I’ve got a feeling what direction we’re going,” Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said, via Mike Jones of the Washington Post.
The Redskins haven’t gotten much out of Brown since trading for him and giving him a $20.25 million contract. When he’s well, he’s an upgrade over what they have, but he’s shown little indication he’s going to stay that way.
