20 year eagles season ticket holder here. babin is a poseur. a one year wonder. eagles should have remembered the data from babin’s first eagles stint, when he did nothing, and never have signed him the second time. he is heavily tatted, which suggests he is tough. but mr pseudo tough had to whine about the fans. oh woe is me, the philly fans are so mean. what a girl. its guys like babin who are contributing to this yr’s debacle. they are highly paid and should be leaders & perform. but they don’t lead and aren’t delivering. nnamdi is another. the phils had the same issue this past season. guys like rollins, victorino and pence needed to come up big and basically put their tails between their legs and hid under the table. babin sucks. no loss at all.

If you want to play for a winner, get ready for league mininum, thats all they are going to pay you. If you get claimed, only a losing team will take you on……bottom line….be glad if anybody signs you, because nowadays in the nfl , rookies are a lot cheaper,and a lot more hungry. They want to hustle, so after 4 years they get paid.

Fans who think Babin is a great pass rusher have clearly not seen him play. They’ve only seen ESPN highlights and read a stat sheet. Babin is a product of the Wide 9. If you don’t run that, he will be a liability. Babin can’t defend the run to save his life.

I mentioned Detroit in an earlier PFT post, but be careful when mentioning non-”wide 9″ teams.

The 3-4 OLB spot is hard to play and players likely need an off-season to fully play it well and he did not bloom until finding Jim Washburn in Tennessee who ran the “Wide 9″ in 2010.

He did retire as a player after last season. The problem is they forgot to tell Reid so he kept putting him in the games.

I think he’ll end up in Detroit. They like the wide 9 and can’t get enough of 1 trick ponies, just ask Avril and Young.

Pats should kick the tires on this guy, especially with the injury to CJones and suspension of Cunningham. The defense is starting to come together with Talib, McCourty playing safety, Chung returning from injury and Dennard looking like a player. Even a situational pass rusher could put them over the top. Reid and Belichick are close, I’m sure BB could find out if there are injury/personal issues contributing in Babin’s drop in production. Pats have a real shot this yr, go all in.
