ProFootballTalk: Why release Jason Babin?

Are the Eagles starting to point fingers for their lousy season? If they aren’t, why did they release DE Jason Babin who had 18 sacks in 2011? Erik Kuselias and Mike Florio try to explain.

Jason Avant has some of the best hands in the NFL, that’s how. How that guy isn’t starting over DeSean “Aligator Arms” Jackson, is beyond me. Jackson hasn’t made a stellar play in nearly three years. In fact, all he has done is whine, underachieve, and get injured.
