I love how Steelers fans love talking about their “hardware”. Give me a break, your shortsightedness is embarrassing. The Steelers have been around for 80 years. Do you people forget when your team was basically irrelevant for stretches of time that spans DECADES?

Get a clue, you can’t even keep your team colors straight. It’s black and yellow.

The Steelers have been to the Superbowl 3 times in the last 8 seasons. The sky in Pittsburgh can fall occassionally, there’s plenty of brightness gleaming off of those 6 polished Lombardi trophies sitting in Pittsburgh. Losing sucks and always will suck, but what does the Steelers organization need to prove that they haven’t already proven ? They stick with a coach, they can draft, they can coach up discards and UDFA’s, Steeler Nation, multiple championships. There’s nothing left to prove, we’ve done it all.

news flash to pitt fans….your team is not the only team in the league with guys hurt and not playing…this is a contactsport…this is what happens when your o-line is shaky…this is what happens when your qb hangs on to the ball longer then most qbs, he is gonna take extra hits and might get hurt…this is what happens when a bunch of your defense is over 30 years of age, they take longer to recover from injuries and miss games…you think you guys would be used to ben missing a handful of games a year, it is becoming a pattern…your supposed braintrust might of prepared for this better then they did…just saying

Yawns. Shrugs shoulders. We’ll lose at Balt and it’ll all hit the fan but, in the end, we’ll finish up 9-7, grab a wildcard spot (there is NOBODY in contention for it #cincinnati #sandiego #miami?!), and visit New England or Denver in the wildcard round. I’m hoping for the sixth seed because a Matt Schaub-qb’d team puts zero fear into me.

I agree to an extent with Ryan Clark. The fact of the matter is that a loss to the Browns definitely raised some alarms in Steeler Nation – as it should have. But now that knee-jerk reactions subsided we can take a dispassionate view of what’s going on.

If the Steelers can get to 10-6 they are in (presuming that that 6th loss isn’t to the Bengals). The Bengals and the Colts schedules the final four weeks are significantly harder than the Steelers’. So the question remains – can they get healthy and win 4 very winnable games?

With Ben back for the final four, and hopefully picking up AB, Troy, Cotchery, and others along the way this should be a very manageable task. Without them, then we’re 9-7, 8-8 and (likely) missing the playoffs.

The sky isn’t falling just yet but it looks ominous.

Polamalu practiced Friday in a limited role, so I think it’s a little premature to suggest he’ll be fully healthy this week or anytime particularly soon. And now Woodley and Adams are both hurt, so even if the other guys are able to play before season’s end, I don’t see how things are improving that much for the Steelers.

Having said that, I’d still bet my money they’ll grab a Wild Card spot, but be eliminated by the second round of the playoffs.

Clark hit the nail right on the head.

The comments by stiller fans after the loss to the browns were comical, hypocritical, and also delusional.

After a game like that, you just burn the film, and get ready to play the next one, but no, not in pgh.

Fans were writing , “the team is done”; “Tomlin is overrated, doesn’t know what he’s doing”.

Some fans want half the team released.

Clark is correct, the stillers fan base is one of the most spoiled there is due to their past success.

Try being a browns fan if you want to test your loyalty. The current generation of stiller fans have no idea on how fortunate they’ve been over the years.

Agreed. I think even if Ben had played against the Brownies it would have been a tough game – especially with all the RBs playing with their heads deposited up their arses.

With the D playing as well as they are, key people (hopefully) starting to get healthy and a last 4 very winnable games, anyone who thinks they are out of it is a moron.

Cue the couple Raven fan trolls who anxiously await each story about the Steelers.

Since everyone apparently expects the Ravens to beat the Steelers this weekend, what will people say if the Steelers happen to win, with so many key people injured? What would that say about the Ravens? I think it proves they are over-hyped and over-rated, and perrenial playoff losers.

Would have traded the win vs KC for Ben coming out of that game healthy because no way the Ravens or Browns beat the Steelers with him in there.
