I guess we will know. Giants are good but not hands down best. Besides giants have taken care of pats recently.
You’d need a lot less wins to make afc playoffs especially in afc east.
In pretty much every NFC division they’d be wild card. The roll up 6 wins on lowly jets bills and fins.
Any other division they’d have a loss or two more.
I’m not saying they are not good but they are not as good as it seems by their beatdowns recently. Of course time will tell.

Most lifelong Redskins fans are apologists of varying stripe. We’ve had to be, over the years. Now there’s real reason to cheer in DC– and it’s not just RG3, although heaven knows he’s reason number one.

They beat up a tebow lead team, got extremely lucky against the ravens last playoffs and the same luck went the other way in Super Bowl. I know they are good, but I would temper the exuberance. They would not get very far in the NFC field.

Keep making all the excuses you want about the Pats, you can’t argue their accomplishments( I suspect a bitter ravens fan). First, you have no idea how they’d do in the NFC field. Second, I’d put the Pats, Texans, Broncos, ravens and steelers(w/Roethlisberger), against Giants, GB, Bears Falcons and 49ers any day(see power rankings). Sorry Evans got stripped and Cundiff missed, deal with it. And, if your not a ravens fan, I’m sure the Pats own your team too(unless you’re a Giants fan).

Secondly our defense is a lot better, now that we’ve got Talib we have benched Arrington (who is godawful) and moved McCourty to safety which has led to much improved play.

I think the number two spot in the power rankings is too high for the Pats considering our record. However were we to play a game tomorrow the only teams I would be worried about facing are the Giants, 49ers and maybe Texans.

As mentioned previously I think the Falcons are pretenders until proven otherwise (especially the way Ryan has been playing). Baltimore is a good team but the way Flacco’s been playing the last few weeks along with the injuries to Ray Lewis and Ladarius Webb gives me confidence we’d beat them especially since we lost by 1 point in Baltimore to a game heavily influenced by bad calls (both ways).

2. Patriots: The Pats are peaking, but can they carry it to February this time?

Yes, it does, although power rankings are meaningless. Even if the teams they’re playing aren’t the best(although the Colts are probably gonna make the playoffs), they’re still NFL teams. Point is, while the other top teams have cooled a bit and are eaking out wins, the Pats are blowing everyones doors off, scoring about 47 pts/game, despite injuries to 3 Pro Bowlers. The D is solidifying and getting better as well. Defense doesn’t even have to be that good. It’s definitely better than last year. Watch out. I’m sure if they beat the 49ers and the Texans you’ll say they should’ve, because they were at home.

If they beat the texans and the niners then kudos to them. They blew out Jets (big deal), Colts (kudos to them for that), beat Bills by 6 points, blew out St Louis, needed overtime to beat Jets at home….yep. That is dominant play.
Look, I’m saying that beating up lousy teams (and one with a good rookie QB) is not a measure who they’ll face in postseason. I’m sure you are encourage but take it with a pinch of salt.
