Does that mean the Packers were in the Giants head the previous 2 games(Regular Season 2010 & 2011) which occurred less than 12 months apart.

Overact much?

The Redskins are better than the Giants and it will be justified in these last 5 weeks. Better HC, QB, RB, Owner. Just superior all around."

The NFC East is a tough division because you never know what you will get week to week with any of our teams. The Eagles has big expectations, but someone will gladly coach them. Foles may not be the answer. RG3 is a beast, no denying that, but he can't do it all. He will be able to attract higher profile free agents to the Skins. NY is NY, reigning champs so can't count them out. As for my Cowboys...sigh...I expected us to be much lower in this list. Romo is either hot or cold. But Garrett HAS to go and he can't be replaced with another Jerry Jones puppet or we will remain middle to last in the pack. The team needs discipline and he is not the man for the job.

bobhk thinks the Patriots wouldn’t go far in the NFC, I disagree. First of all they’d only have to get 9 wins to get in and I don’t think they’d lose more than 7 games in any NFC Division; especially since the best team in the NFC (Giants) have just barely squeaked by them in showdowns. Anyway, we’ll know a lot more after the next 3 games.

------
I guess we will know. Giants are good but not hands down best. Besides giants have taken care of pats recently.
You'd need a lot less wins to make afc playoffs especially in afc east.
In pretty much every NFC division they'd be wild card. The roll up 6 wins on lowly jets bills and fins.
Any other division they'd have a loss or two more.
I'm not saying they are not good but they are not as good as it seems by their beatdowns recently. Of course time will tell.

If my fellow Redskin fan LogicalVoice was a scientist, we'd call him an " early adopter". Sometimes that works out, sometimes not.

Most lifelong Redskins fans are apologists of varying stripe. We've had to be, over the years. Now there's real reason to cheer in DC-- and it's not just RG3, although heaven knows he's reason number one.

Forgive us, if we're overly optimistic at this juncture.

bobhk says:

They beat up a tebow lead team, got extremely lucky against the ravens last playoffs and the same luck went the other way in Super Bowl. I know they are good, but I would temper the exuberance. They would not get very far in the NFC field.

----------------------------------------------------------
Keep making all the excuses you want about the Pats, you can't argue their accomplishments( I suspect a bitter ravens fan). First, you have no idea how they'd do in the NFC field. Second, I'd put the Pats, Texans, Broncos, ravens and steelers(w/Roethlisberger), against Giants, GB, Bears Falcons and 49ers any day(see power rankings). Sorry Evans got stripped and Cundiff missed, deal with it. And, if your not a ravens fan, I'm sure the Pats own your team too(unless you're a Giants fan).

@tedmurph says:

Giants had lost 2 in a row before beating an undermanned GB team, including getting blown out by Cincy. Everyone was asking what was wrong. 49ers tied the Rams@home, the team the Pats beat by 38. Pats can only play who is on the schedule. The fact that lately, a lot of the games have been over by halftime, is significant. I like their chances no matter who they play in the postseason, including the ravens.
--------------
Sure Pats can play whoever is on the schedule. However, that does not mean that what they've accomplished is to be judged the same way as teams with tougher opponents. Pats have the easiest schedule in the NFL (or close).
You give example of the Rams. Well that can work both ways. Pats lost to Cards (at home!!). That's the very same team that niners blew out 24-3.
Standing alone on it's own merit is the fact that Pats have a cake walk and (while I don't deny that they are good) their true strength will come out in the playoffs (and if they win that's great for Pats fans).

Just want to point out that at 37ppg the Pats are on record to score the most points in a season ever (yes more than 2007). No matter who it's against, it's impressive.

Secondly our defense is a lot better, now that we've got Talib we have benched Arrington (who is godawful) and moved McCourty to safety which has led to much improved play.

I think the number two spot in the power rankings is too high for the Pats considering our record. However were we to play a game tomorrow the only teams I would be worried about facing are the Giants, 49ers and maybe Texans.

As mentioned previously I think the Falcons are pretenders until proven otherwise (especially the way Ryan has been playing). Baltimore is a good team but the way Flacco's been playing the last few weeks along with the injuries to Ray Lewis and Ladarius Webb gives me confidence we'd beat them especially since we lost by 1 point in Baltimore to a game heavily influenced by bad calls (both ways).

—————————————————-
Great comment. lol If voice is wrong when he says “I know football” he’ll just change his name. I wish I had time to compile all his crazy predictions for the season. Good luck to the Skins, it’s gonna be a lot harder catching the Giants than he thinks, but I’d like to see an exciting finish.

Just a quick reminder to Pats haters. Everyone said they were not good last year, but they went to the Super Bowl and barely lost to a Giants team that was on fire. The 2012 Patriots have an even more explosive Offense and an improving Defense, which looks more solid each week. No disrespect to Houston or SF, but I like NE’s chances in both games, unless the Refs allow Receivers to get mugged.
-------------
They beat up a tebow lead team, got extremely lucky against the ravens last playoffs and the same luck went the other way in Super Bowl. I know they are good, but I would temper the exuberance. They would not get very far in the NFC field.

2. Patriots: The Pats are peaking, but can they carry it to February this time?
———
Does beating up on the pathetic AFC east qualify as peaking? Their real test comes up when the get Texans and the 49ers (albeit at home).

———————————————————-

Yes, it does, although power rankings are meaningless. Even if the teams they’re playing aren’t the best(although the Colts are probably gonna make the playoffs), they’re still NFL teams. Point is, while the other top teams have cooled a bit and are eaking out wins, the Pats are blowing everyones doors off, scoring about 47 pts/game, despite injuries to 3 Pro Bowlers. The D is solidifying and getting better as well. Defense doesn’t even have to be that good. It’s definitely better than last year. Watch out. I’m sure if they beat the 49ers and the Texans you’ll say they should’ve, because they were at home.
---------
If they beat the texans and the niners then kudos to them. They blew out Jets (big deal), Colts (kudos to them for that), beat Bills by 6 points, blew out St Louis, needed overtime to beat Jets at home....yep. That is dominant play.
Look, I'm saying that beating up lousy teams (and one with a good rookie QB) is not a measure who they'll face in postseason. I'm sure you are encourage but take it with a pinch of salt.
Not all top teams have not cooled off. Giants dominated Packers (that's a real opponent FYI), niners beat new orleans (they are not the jets),

The Eagles don’t have cap issues, they’re like 50-60 Million under the cap or something like that
________
Wow! 60 million under a 120 million per team cap with Asomugha, Vick, Jackson, McCoy, DRC, Cole, Peters, and Jenkins? Who's the Eagles GM-- Enron?

Sorry, I mean, essentially, you're right: with Babin gone and Asomugha and Vick soon to follow, the Eagles will be fine, cap-wise.

Voice, Giants won last game so not sure you can say you have the better everything. Need to calm down on RGIII, think he will be good but go back to last year and everyone said the samething about Cam Newton. He is a better passer but might struggle after there is a full year of film on him in the NFL. All Eagles contracts are back loaded and those contracts backs are coming up for the most part. They are aging in important areas with no true back-ups behind them. (O-Line, D-Line).

Not agreeing with voice but dude to compare RGIII and Cam is dumb. They are two completely different QBs both athletic but RGIII's football IQ and maturity is way above Cams.
