After losing a pair of defensive linemen for the remainder of the season, the Indianapolis Colts have added defensive tackle Kellen Heard to help bolster depth along their defensive front.

The Colts placed Fili Moala and Josh Chapman on injured reserve Tuesday. Moala suffered a knee injury Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Chapman had not played this season after a knee injury landed him on the physically unable to perform list to start the year.

Heard played in eight games for the St. Louis Rams earlier this season before being released due to violating curfew prior to the Rams game in San Francisco against the 49ers. Heard has five tackles on the season.

The Colts still have an open spot on their 53-man roster.
