Cowboys hanging onto Scandrick, with clock ticking

Orlando Scandrick AP

Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick said Wednesday he’d miss six to eight weeks after surgery on his left hand.

That means he’d be out until the playoffs, if the Cowboys got there.

“I just want to come back and help my team anyway that I can,” Scandrick said, via Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com.

Scandrick said he also had a bone bruise and sprained ligaments in his wrist.

With five weeks of regular season left, it’s an optimistic move on the Cowboys’ part to keep him up, and with a 5-6 record, one that probably won’t matter in the least.

5-6 is 1 game away from wild card spot…

Worst signing yet. Jennings should have been re-upped before this guy.
It is really miserable being a fan of this team. I know it’s not being a Browns fan but my God, 1 playoff win in the last 1/2 of my life. I feel just tired. Like you hate your wife but remember the good times you used to have and it keeps you around in the hope that you can get back to the good days. Deep down inside though, you know its hopeless.

Cut him loose, he cant cover or tackle and he gets burned constantly

Cowpoke fans are dreaming, but maybe the Giants team hits the skids, stranger things have happened….But it won’t be because of the Cowboys play.

Jerry paid too much for Scandrick on his contract. He would prefer to tackle without contact which doesn’t work. Scandrick pretty much responsible for the Falcons late game winning drive.

    Oh and one other thing…

We can blame at least two losses this season on Scandrick

Should have traded him while he was worth something.

Redskins will get to the wildcard before the cowboys will…

And thats coming from a diehard Boys fan.

We end the season in Washington.

    Bank it.

As long as Jerry Jones is the GM and making the draft picks the Cowboys will NEVER get better. Owners with more money than brains just NEVER get it. However, Danny Snyder finally got it and got out of the way in DC and the results are obvious. I never see Jerry Jones getting his nose out of the draft room…all that means is continued mediocrity because Jerrah THINKS he knows talent….NOT.

I’ve never understood what this guy has that makes people think he’s a player, other than a catchy name.
