Jets bring Mardy Gilyard back for another try

Mardy Gilyard, Julian Posey AP

Maybe if the Jets make enough bottom-of-the-roster moves, the top will magically improve.

The latest through the revolving door is wide receiver Mardy Gilyard, who was signed Tuesday, according to Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger.

Gilyard spent a week with them last year, and was just waived by the Eagles when they claimed Greg Salas.

To make room for Gilyard, the Jets waived guard Hayworth Hicks, who they claimed off the Colts practice squad.

You know you’re in a world of trouble when you’re bringing in wide receiver rejects from the Rams.

An Eagle and Ram castoff over T.O. or Chad Johnson? The season can’t get more nuts in NY, might as well bring one of them in to see if they will be able to play next year.

I liked him in preseason for the Eagles. Good but extremely pointless pick up considering the Jets are in complete disarray. If anything they need special teams players.
