I love that he can make those kind of plays.
I think in that situation at that time though I would rather have let Russel and Co. play with the ball for a bit and give the defense a rest, and I said as much while I was watching the game.

Not taking anything away from his spectacular run or his tying the NFL record. I am betting he does it at least one more time before all is said and done and gets the hold the record all to himself. If he does it's likely it will stand for quite a while considering the NFL's new rules for kickoffs.

with kick offs going out of the end zone most of the time, there have been very few returns for touchdowns in the league this year. Scoring a touchdown off of one is a big feat. People who have never played the game have no idea how hard it is to run a kick off back. We need one in the playoffs again
if the Hawks make it that far, that is. With a average set of linebackers and an offensive line that is just over average and takes too many stupid penalties, the Seahawks need help scoring. Way to go Leon.

This might have been the best play of last week's games, and I'm from DC. It wasn't a truly unbelievable play in its own right, but how can you not be impressed by Leon Washington? How many years has this guy been making plays like that?

It was a rhetorical question, but the answer is seven, in case you were wondering. To put that in perspective, when Washington entered the league, Priest Holmes had just led the league in rushing and "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter was Billboard's Number One Hit.

Washington was stoned on every return except that one (if I recall correctly). Not that the return wasn't very good, but I really doubt he was the most deserving.
