Sherman, Browner issue statement that there will be no more statements on suspensions

On Sunday, word emerged out of the blue that Seahawks starting cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner face four-game suspensions for violating the league’s policy regarding steroids and related substances.

Though the initial report from ESPN seemed to imply that the suspensions would begin immediately, the players have the right to appeal — and the suspensions won’t commence until the appeals have been exhausted.

Despite the fact that the players and/or their agents thereafter have done plenty of talking about the situation, they’ve issued a statement that they’ll be stating nothing further.”To allow our focus to remain on football during the appeal process we will refrain from any further public comments regarding this situation,” the players said in a joint statement issued through the team, via our own Curtis Crabtree (whom we share with KJR).  “Thank you for your consideration on this matter.”

Both players remain available to practice and play until the appeal process has concluded.  We’ve previously reported that the league wanted to conduct the appeal hearings next week, but that the players have asked for more time.

Guilty as charged. Lance Armstrong says keep on denying it.

Of course they want more time.. Suddenly they don’t want their selfish actions to affect the team

I love it. Making a statement to announce you’ll not be making any more statements.

Affect. Effect. What’s a little misuse of words among friends.

More time for what? So these cheaters (and their team) can have an unfair advantage over even more opponents?

Here’s hoping Cutler and Marshall torch these guys on Sunday.

Considering everything they’ve said, up to this point, has been unbelievably stupid, this is a good strategy.

So “Optimus prime” did steroids (allegedly)???say it isn’t so! Is that how he (allegedly) shut down Megatron? Damn autobots! Not even the deceptions (My Lions) do that (that we know of)!

Hope they are still in there when the 9ers come to town.

    Cheats! Hope they get suspended.
With Carroll and this bunch seahawks have become totally unlikeable.

I actually liked them and rooted for them in the Super Bowl against Steelers. Holmgren was class.

Pete cheats and so do his players. That’s a fact.

First off, its Aderall they’re suspected of taking not steroids. DBs across the League are taking it to improve focus during games.

Second of all, every post about this since Sunday has started out with “You mad bro?”. Could someone at least attempt an original variation on this?

Finally spew hate all you want. Hawks fans don’t care. The hate comes from the GB game which they had nothing to do with the call. No one cares when we get screwed by the Refs, so we don’t feel bad that one actually went our way. If the Packers had won the same way, they wouldn’t have been anywhere near the uproar so suck it. Don’t like our team? Good. We don’t like yours.

The more they keep their mouths shut, the less chance of putting a foot in.

All you new found Seahawks haters are hilarious. Pete the Cheat, Sherman talks too much, I don’t like these guys…..wahhhh…..wahhhh. Cry about it. Sherman is the best shut down corner in the NFL right now, Browner is no slouch either. There are 31 other teams that would love these two players on their roster. They may talk, but they back it up. As for Pete being a cheater, your neive if you don’t think cheating goes on at most major college programs. Those who think he ran when things got rough, ask your self this. If you were having trouble at work, then someone comes along and offers you more many and a better job, you not going to take it? I think not. Bring the Niners to town, Sherman and Browner owned those WR’s.
