If the Jets are smart they will play Tebow during the game; ESPECIALLY around the goal-line. It will benefit them two ways..

1) Perhaps the Jags will make an offer to NY, so they at least get something for him.
2) Playing him will at least sell an extra jersey or two.

Now that I think about this further, there is a third benefit.

3) They just might, finally, compete in a game!

Since they don’t let Tebow play anyhow, they should tease the fans by giving him one really good scripted trick play so he can bust a big gainer and then bench him for the rest of the game. You want to see more of Tebow play NFL football? Then trade for him to break him free of these chains. The Jags wouldn’t be able to resist the temptation if they dangle the lure.

They are selling extra tickets so Tebow fans can watch him carry a clipboard? Jacksonville fans must be easily excited. Maybe he will play tight end, go out for a pass and get hit in the head when he forgets to turn around and look for the ball like he did in Miami. That should drive the fans wild!

It’s his hometown, there’s nothing wrong with suggesting he could sell a few tickets there.

But you’re right about the NY connection, too. Half of the state of Florida it seems is from New York or New Jersey.

As for bringing him in more than once every few years, Jacksonville is on that list of teams known as “all of them” that already have at least 2 QBs better than Tebow.

Yea, the problem with all this Jags management… the ticket demand is NOT to see your team. It’ll be a bunch of fans in Tebow Jets/Broncos/Gators jerseys to see a guy who won’t take a snap. Good for them I guess.

So now the media gives Tim Tebow the magical power to sell tickets? Aren’t the Jets from the biggest city in the country? Could that have anything to do with it?

The media’s infatuation with the Jets backup qb and underwear model is ridiculous.
