Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel was listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Saints. But Samuel’s hurt shoulder held up well enough in pregame warmups that he’s good to go.
Samuel is active for Atlanta, which is very good news: The Saints are not a team you want to meet without a starting cornerback sidelined. However, it’s not all good news for the Falcons’ defense: Starting defensive tackle Peria Jerry is inactive and will be replaced by Corey Peters in the starting lineup.
The Falcons’ other inactives are 1uarterback Dominique Davis, defensive end Lawrence Sidbury, wide receiver Tim Toone, guard Harland Gunn, tackle Lamar Holmes, safety Charles Mitchell and guard Phillip Manley.
The Saints’ inactives are wide receiver Courtney Roby, safety Isa Abdul-Quddus, linebacker Scott Shanle, tackle Charles Brown, tight end Dave Thomas, defensive end Junior Galette and defensive tackle Tom Johnson.
