You’re INCORRECT, they won the SB the year prior, were 1-and-done in 1995.

That Jerry Rice record was brutal for me as a Rams fan. I watched Isaac Bruce set the record with a crazy 200 yard performance in the last game of the season and then Jerry followed up later that day with 140 of his own to take the record himself.

The haters have accused Calvin of having a bad season, and have accused Stafford of having a bad season. Bottom line, they’re both having great years.

The Lions have lost games they could have and should have won – it’s no fun, but that’s part of a team learning how to be winners.

We got two rushing touchdowns against a Texans team that is very tough against the run. That’s progress for a team that wasn’t able to run after Javid Best went down.

Unfortunately, the reality is that we have to start looking forward to next year. Hopefully the defensive secondary gets a serious upgrade. It would be nice if Delmas could be healthy for an entire season.

I’ve never seen teams cover anyone like they cover Calvin. 1 sometimes 2 at the line and then a safety over the top 20 yards back…it’s amazing and just shows how much of a complete beast he is

Garbage yards. All teams play prevent from the third quarter on because the Lions are always losing. It’s the same reason that teams with good records have poor pass defense stats. Teams have to throw 50 times to try to catch up. Rice did it on winning teams, that’s much more impressive. Johnson is awesome but his TDs tell more of the story.

Calvin and Andre Johnson I can see, even though they only have 7 TDs between them…But only a Redskins homer would put Garcon and Santana Moss ahead of guys like A. J. Green, Brandon Marshall, and Victor Cruz.

Did you just say Garcon and Santan Moss in the top 5!!!

I can easily name 10 WR’s better than ANYONE on Washington.

Brandon Marshall, AJ Green, Reggie Wayne, Roddy White, Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, Dez Bryant…

Santana Moss and Pierre Garcon rank 56th and 83rd respectively in rcvg yds…. Add their yard totals together and you don’t get 2/3 of Reggie Waynes yards… There are quite a few RBs that have more yds than Moss or Garcon.

The phrase “pass first league” let’s me know that you’re at least 50. The league has been pass first since 19 freaking 80. THAT’S 32 YEARS. For 32 years, teams have passed more than they have run. The peak of passing up until last year was 1995. These arguments are terrible and you should do some research that isn’t based on your old man conjecture.

Jerry had 15 TD’s that year. As good as Calvin is, he’s not having a more productive season than Rice. Hollow yards.

I at no means dislike Megatron, but a few weeks ago we were talking about the Madden Curse and that made me think he was having his worst year in his career. How can he be close to breaking the record? Maybe it was just he wasn’t getting TD’s but a lot of receiving yards or something I don’t know.

CJ would have been just as good in the 80′s as he is now. You can’t jam him because he’s too strong. He would play through the extra physicality they had back then.
