A day after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, wide receiver Micheal Spurlock is once again a member of the San Diego Chargers.

Spurlock was claimed off waivers by the Chargers on Wednesday. To make room on the roster, the Chargers waived running back Curtis Brinkley.

Spurlock was waived by the Jaguars in a slew of roster moves on Tuesday. Spurlock began the year with the Chargers and played the first four weeks in San Diego before being released. Spurlock then signed with Jacksonville and posted 14 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown in six games for the Jaguars.

Spurlock will add depth for the Chargers and could be called upon if receiver Eddie Royal is unable to play Sunday. Royal missed last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with a hamstring injury and did not practice on Wednesday.

Brinkley appeared in seven games for the Chargers this season posting 29 carries for 60 yards and nine catches for 63 yards.
