DeAngelo Hall fined twice for infractions against Cowboys

It’s proving to be quite an expensive season for Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

According to Jay Glazer of, Hall has been fined $35,750 for a pair of infractions in last Thursday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys. The report did not specify which plays Hall would have been penalized for. Hall was not flagged for any penalties during the Thanksgiving Day match up with the Cowboys.

It’s the second time in the last month Hall has picked up a fine of at least $30,000. Hall was fined $30,000 for berating an official in the Redskins game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 28.

Hall has now been fined $65,750 by the league this season.

One was for probably punching Dez Bryant.

  2. skinsfan91 says: Nov 29, 2012 11:01 PM

It’s for when he slapped Dez Bryant. Lol.

  3. logicalvoicesays says: Nov 29, 2012 11:02 PM

He’s the best cornerback in the NFC at the moment. As long as he keeps up the INTs and physical play, he can rack up the fines for all I care.

Dude can’t get out of his own way.

Can they fine Jerry Jones too? Just enough to where he would need to sell the Cowboys organization just to pay it. Please?

  6. skeeeiins says: Nov 29, 2012 11:10 PM

2 consecutive games with an interception (against division rivals), keep it goin D. Hall!!!

  7. mkindred1 says: Nov 29, 2012 11:11 PM

That’s what happens when you hit Dez in the chin, punk.

  8. skinsfaninnebraska says: Nov 29, 2012 11:14 PM

One is probably when he smacked Dez Bryant in the chinstrap during their discussion on the sideline.

Early in the game, Hall and Bryant were jawing after a play in the end zone. Their facemasks were inches apart, and Hall slapped Bryant on the facemask, real quick and sneaky. It really looked like Hall was trying to bait Bryant into retaliating. Bryant managed to control himself, they jawed some more, and that was it for that play. One fine is probably for the slap.

Gotta feeling one of those had to do with the Dez Bryant incident (BTW, where’s his fine?)

Can’t fix stupid. Plus he is trying to compensate for diminished skills.

    Classic NFL.

  17. baddegg says: Nov 29, 2012 11:59 PM

The Skins are just lucky that Mara didn’t decide to suspend Hall for the Giants game, to open up Eli’s passing lanes, er, I mean to ensure the integrity of the league…

  18. commonsensedude says: Nov 30, 2012 12:01 AM

I’m not a huge D-Hall fan, but, come on. How can you fine a guy when no official flagged him.

Who’s determining which players get fined by the NFL and by how much? The IRS?

  19. skins23 says: Nov 30, 2012 12:07 AM

Boy, its really shocking that someone on the Redskins had to pay a fine for a play with no flags whereas Kenny Phillips of the Giants had his $30K fine overturned this week by the league…

Or that the league penalizes celebrations yet allows NBC to give Victor Cruz his own theme music when he scores…

Or that the NYG Owner (Mara) is the head of the competition committee and allowed to make abritrary cap penalties against division rivals…

Or that the NFL would have the Giants play their “away” game at home when the Saints got displaced….

No no, there’s no league bias towards the Giants at all….

  20. djbleedthestar says: Nov 30, 2012 12:12 AM

Uh for literally punching Dez. I am really impressed that Dez didn’t retaliate. He would’ve got flagged, fined, suspended.

  21. seahawksbmx says: Nov 30, 2012 12:29 AM

These fines are getting ridiculous and are ruining the game.

  22. davekezer says: Nov 30, 2012 12:33 AM

“Well, you know, we’re going to take a look at what we have out there, and DeAngelo Hall gives us the best chance to win, so we’re going to go with the guys that give us the best chance to win.” – Mike Shanahan (insert any player name in for DeAngelo Hall)

  23. deangelo23hall says: Nov 30, 2012 12:40 AM

    FOR WHAT!?!?!

  24. vikesfansteve says: Nov 30, 2012 12:51 AM

He slapped Bryant too, just like he denied doing to AP who could have beat Hall senseless if he felt like it. Hall is going to end up doing that to some guy on the street and who knows if the dude will be armed.

  25. thraiderskin says: Nov 30, 2012 12:53 AM

    What an idiot…

  26. readysethike says: Nov 30, 2012 1:27 AM

it is irresponsible to flag this dbag without saying why…was it because he had an arguement with dez? is it because he intervepted the ball snd then slid before the goal line what is it

  27. joetoronto says: Nov 30, 2012 4:54 AM

“Hall has now been fined $65,750 by the league this season.”

One day soon when his career is over, the idiot is going to look at how much money be spent in fines and wish he had it, because he’s going to need it.

  28. plymkr88 says: Nov 30, 2012 6:21 AM

Maybe slapping Dez Bryant on national TV wasn’t a good idea.

  29. stevenray72 says: Nov 30, 2012 6:33 AM

Hall has upset the Big Bad Comish and now they are looking for any little thing get on him

  30. S.Nevada says: Nov 30, 2012 7:03 AM

One probably had to do with the post-play slap on Dez.

  31. rtant2013 says: Nov 30, 2012 7:35 AM

Uh did you guys not see that Hall slapped Dez and Dez threw a punch? Wasn’t just Hall in this situation, and that happens in every game and no one is fined. Hall didn’t do anything in the Cowboys game, didnt even get flagged for anything. So why is he an idiot? I believe he is the one making millions, while you read stories and write your opinions. Ha yeah, I bet he really cares what you guys who have never even met him, have to say.

  32. fafaflunky says: Nov 30, 2012 8:00 AM

no fine for the cb that roughed up garcon on that td pass..where he pretty much threw him into the wall..amazing

  33. kae0923 says: Nov 30, 2012 8:19 AM

Just because he wasn’t flagged during the game doesn’t mean anything because he should have been flagged. One day this knucklehead will wake up

  34. blutbaddenbill says: Nov 30, 2012 8:41 AM

Or that the NYG Owner (Mara) is the head of the competition committee and allowed to make abritrary cap penalties against division rivals…
    ______________________________________ He is just a whining c**t!!!
i hope the skins beat the giants like they own them!
and as much as i dislike hall, dez bryant started that fight with him by shoving him,so he should have been fined too!

  35. joeyashwi says: Nov 30, 2012 8:54 AM

I’m not a fan of Hall but being that the rules no longer allow a defensive player to hit anybody on the offense, he had to wait until after the play was over to do it.

  36. comeonnowguys says: Nov 30, 2012 9:19 AM

I still can’t believe this guy wasn’t #1 on the least-liked NFL player list.

  37. claymath52 says: Nov 30, 2012 9:39 AM

Guys a punk. Wish Dez Bryant would have unloaded on him.

  38. londonfletcher59 says: Nov 30, 2012 12:53 PM

As long as he’s getting an interception every game, he can get all the fines he wants.

Dez is an over-paid, babysat punk anyway.

  39. alohakyle says: Nov 30, 2012 2:09 PM

The Cowboys organization should be fined for their effort this season

  40. defscottyb says: Dec 2, 2012 1:29 AM

I taped the game and re-watched that. First of all D Hall did not “punch” Dez, he slapped his facemask (probably after Dez said something punky to him). They were both going at it with each other. Then, Dez looked around sneakily to see if the refs were watching and held his left arm up and “faked punched” D Hall to see if he would flinch. Then, after the commerial break the two were all buddy-buddy like it was no big deal. Everyone needs to relax, it happens all the time in football. Players are all jacked up for big games and get emmotional. I love that both players are pumped up for that big game. No fine should of been assessed, let it go. Hail!
