scchamil: I think you are right. This is a huge loss. Hawkins, Binns, Tate–none of them were getting open much even with AJ double covered. Sanu came on and was the answer. Now all we can hope is that Jones fills his shoes and that Marvin doesn’t go back to starting Binns.

Time for Gresham to be a red zone force. Baby Hawk is explosive, and Marvin Jones was slated to start opposite AJ in the stillers game until he got hurt on the opening kick off.
Team’s finally playing up to their potential. All comes down to the “Ginger Ninja” and the D-Line dominating the opposing backfield. Back to back playoffs…..finally.

There goes our Wildcat Offense. He was a heck of a blocker for a WR too. The guy could do everything, even threw a long TD pass to AJ Green.

jwill007 – I like your attitude and I hope you’re right… but I think this is a bigger loss than it seems. Sanu was becoming a real force and even before injury baby hawk’s production was limited once teams started paying attention to him. Sanu’s size also made him a reliable red zone threat. They were using him as a running back (he was also the focus of any wildcat package) and when teams overcommitted to stopping AJ in the red zone (Raiders almost always had two guys on him out wide) – he was really the x factor in making sure that strategy didn’t work. Getting a little tired of this with our WR corps. Last time a promising young WR went under the knife (Shipley) – he never really came back. Bengals needed all hands on deck and this is a big blow for a team hoping to make a playoff run.

Awww you need some cheese with that whine? You blame the Bengals for those? How about hate the refs for that? Maybe if your offense would have shown up in the first half, those two issues wouldn’t have had such a big impact on the game? Or is it too much to ask that Palmer be an effective QB? lol If you’re a Raider fan, you absolutely should not be blasting our city and state. Maybe take a look at that joke you consider a home.

asw1028….I agree….I was mad that Eagles passed on him too!

I had the pleasure of watching him play QB and DB at South Brunswick High School in NJ. Back then, there was Sanu, and then everybody else on the field. He is a class act to boot.

He became a receiver at Rutgers after being recruited as a DB. At the NFL level, he is not the fastest, but if you throw it to him, he will catch it, making him very valuable.

Nati Fans will miss him but Baby Hawkins and Marvin Jones return…We shouldnt miss a beat in the slot and then we have Ryan Whalen who probably runs the best routes on the team….Slide Hawk and Whalen in there let them run the same routes and we wont miss a beat! You will see on Sunday in SD….

I loved Sanu at Rutgers, I expected him to be a first round pick and I screamed at my TV as he sat on the board and my Eagles passed him over round after round. I hope he recovers quickly because he has every tool needed to be a major player in this league.

Also, is it possible that Greg Schiano, Sanu’s college coach, knew something was wrong with his foot and that’s why he didn’t draft him this year?
