A project? DHB perhaps, but not McClain. All the experts at the 2010 Draft said he was the best LB prospect.

Unfortunately, the experts can’t prospect the heart & mind.

Manti Te’o is the truth, and needs to be our first pick come the 2013 draft….Raiders have only selected 9 Irish in their 52year draft history, and of those 9, only 2 in the round 1&2…Tim Brown & Dave Casper…..we need Te’o, we need his heart & mind.

one of the best posts I have ever read……..glad to know Nick that you know more than every scouting service that exists that not only rated him the #1 High school qb in the nation, but also the # 1 overall player in the country. He was also the USA Today’s Athelete of the Year as well. Plus he had every Div 1 school offering a full ride, where he elected to attend OSU where he started as a true freshman……. So just want to say how much I appreciate that you know more then professionals that know a thing or two about talent.

I’m the first ot agree that the Raiders made some real bad picks over the past tne years or so as their once genius owner apparently lost his mind –however, cant blame them for taking MClain–he was highly regarded by pundits and teams alike.
Nobody knows wther TP will make it or not–that’s the point of letting him play so that questions can be answered and the team can move forward. I’m hopiing he can be a pleasant surprise which the Raiders badly need.

I think Pryor is classic Al Davis waste of a pick. He has the same athletic ability that Ronald Curry did but at least Curry was willing to switch positions (to WR) and was only a 7th round pick. Pryor refuses to switch from QB and was a 3rd rounder.

Having said that, I see no harm in letting Pryor play some series. The season is lost anyway and if he confirms my firm belief that he’s no better than Tebow as a QB then at least the Raiders can go about getting a decent backup QB (assuming Palmer is still the starter in 2013).

McFadden is a confirmed waste and should be traded or cut next spring. It’s such a shame that our salary cap situation prevented us from retaining Michael Bush.

If I’m in college an awaiting the draft, I’m praying the Raiders don’t pick me. If they do I know I probably wasn’t that good.

Im guessing David Stern is on the phone right now with Goodell, telling him to fine the Raiders if they don’t start Pryor.

After all, the Raiders would get a lot more viewers for Pryors first start, and that’s what sports is all about, right Davey boy? Ratings?
