Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was fined $10,000 for taunting, after flipping the ball at Vikings cornerback A.J. Jefferson last week, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune.

Cutler was scrambling, and heading out of bounds, when he stiff-armed Jefferson and then tossed the ball at him in a mocking manner.

During his radio show Monday, Cutler said he had to hold himself to the same standard he’d hold others to.

“I’ve got to be smarter than that,” he said. “If anyone else on offense had done that I would have probably yelled at him like it can’t happen here. I can’t do it again obviously.”

Cutler’s never been ashamed to bark at others for their misdeeds, so at least he understands he put his team in a bad spot, as hilarious as it might have been.
