Raiders G.M.: No one is happy with our terrible November

In the middle of November, Raiders owner Mark Davis said he wanted to see progress. Now it’s the end of November, no progress has been made, and Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie says the frustration is mounting.

I know the fans are not happy, I’m not happy, the coaches, I know the players are not happy,” McKenzie said, via CSNBayArea.com. “Nobody wants to be, you know, this was a terrible November. This November was just, I mean, it’s a bad November. Now, you kind of knew, in September, beginning of the season, going to struggle a little bit. But the November part of the season has not been good at all. And that cannot continue to happen.”

When the owner and the general manager start complaining about a lack of progress, that’s usually a bad sign for the head coach. So does that mean first-year coach Dennis Allen’s job is in jeopardy? McKenzie declined to guarantee that Allen would be back next year, although he did defend the job Allen has done.

“I’m still pleased with Dennis,” McKenzie said. “It’s like, I’m a rookie in this thing, Dennis is a rookie in this thing. So I’m sure he has some rookie mistakes but overall I’m happy with Dennis.”

But if December is as terrible for the Raiders as November was, big changes may be coming in Oakland.
