The Giants could be without a pair of defensive starters Monday, for a game in which their defense needs to be at full strength.
According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, the Giants listed safety Kenny Phillips and doubtful and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul questionable for their game against the Redskins.
The Giants have worked around not having Phillips, but not having Pierre-Paul against Robert Griffin III and the Redskins would complicate things greatly.
Pierre-Paul missed his second straight day of practice Saturday with a back problem, though coach Tom Coughlin was optimistic about his status Friday.
The Giants also listed tight end Travis Beckum (knee) as out, linebacker Jacquian Williams (knee) doubtful and tackle David Diehl (shoulder) and receiver Domenik Hixon (ankle) questionable.
