The Panthers are on their way to Kansas City as we type, and indications are tomorrow’s game against the Chiefs will go on as planned, after this morning’s murder-suicide involving Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher.
Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the “NFL has full plans to play Chiefs game tomorrow. No changes for right now. See how it unfolds.”
That’s well short of an official declaration, but it seems to be pointing in that didrection now.
Yahoo’s Jeff Passan, a national baseball writer, quotes Kansas City mayor Sly James as saying the Chiefs “think there should be a game tomorrow.”
While it’s hard to imagine the Chiefs organization being able to focus right now, it should be their call whether to move forward, tomorrow or whenever.
