I was thinking the same thing. It’s a good thing these people aren’t members of the jury in this case. They’d find Vilma and everyone else guilty, based on the fact that they “don’t like him.” Morons.

I disagree. Vilma’s actions bear all the hallmarks of someone who has painted themselves into a corner and, in such a high profile case, he will need an excuse or someone to blame for this to be over.

Something like a judge or jury who finds against him would probably do the trick.

The NFL is a business. Surely they would have realized that if there was not enough evidence to hold their position they would have forced Goodell to swallow some pride and cut their loses and run.

As they have both parties have stood their ground, I just consider which one would be bright enough to take this professionally and which one displays too much public bravado to own up.

Hope they all “crash and burn” all the way up to Benson. Warned and then still did it. How stupidly arrogant can you be?

Williams and Cerullo have only signed a coerced affidavit with hopes that by complying they could both coach again in the NFL. This whole dog and pony show will soon be exposed in court. Bank it.

I think Vilma is starting to believe his own lies that he did nothing wrong. If Williams were to lie, his biggest reason to lie would be to deny everything to save his own ass. I cant imagine him lying so that he would knowingly be banned for 1 year, and most likely never coach again.

My point is that if he were a liar, his benefits of denying everything far outweigh any benefits of making the whole thing up as Vilma has accused him of doing.

Vilma is GUILTY.

Actually Vilma has never said or even indicated he did nothing wrong. What he has said is he participated in a pay for performance program which he knew was wrong. However he also said he did not participate in a bounty system which is what he is being accused of and punished for.

As a side note I’ve notice many of your vindictive and half truth postings on this issue and it really is sad. You stand out amongst the many. Not exactly sure if you’re just incapable of being subjective or there is some vindictive agenda here.

Vilma’s devotion in this case would be the actions of someone who knows his career is on the downside and wants to pocket his millions in salary for the season. If this can be dragged out a few years until Vilma is long gone from the league and he is suspended for a year, I am sure he would care less. Not like he is anywhere near a HOF player and has that much of a legacy to protect.

Goodell failed in his first attempt , to bring closure to this matter , now a Federal judge is questioning the process on this matter .

One thing is clear , Goodell has no clue as to what he is doing which is why this drama continues on and on and on ….
